Its done and over with!!!

Its the end of the semester...finals are done and its almost Christmas......and we're not going home this year, and tht makes me sad! But I have families in Des Moines...it makes me happy to know that even if I don't have my mom and dad with me I have people around me that love me enough to share their family with me....I really feel the love as everyone rushes to take the Malaysian home!!! *inside joke* but Malaysians go quick you know!!! I have never spent a holiday without a family since i've been in Des Moines.....one way or the other people go out of the way to make accomodations for me which makes me feel loved!!! Reasons may not always be right but you know what I still feel the love.........I can proudly say that I am American enough to fit in....surprises a lot of families but true dat yall!!! lol... its really early but this makes a lot of sense right now!!!! peace out homies!

Its been a long long long time!!!

Ive been so lazy to blog...well I dont really have much to blog about!! Blah nothing interesting going on in my life is probably why......

International night was the past weekend and one of the mc's of the night.....*drum roll* Danielle...you guessed right me!!!

It was so much fun, it almost felt like me having a real dance performance!!! To begin the night, we had 2 plans one of them was for me to be in the audience and then randomly jump up and down when they started talking about the theme...the second plan was for me to pretend to be late and run in when they almost start the show without me!!! We went with the second plan where I was almost late......i was running down the aisle in a saree...*ahem*, my first attempt at wearing one and it was a success!! No falling or accidentally undressing....hehehe...

But yeah, back to the story from then on we were just having fun and chilling on stage!!! SOOO MUCH FUNN...but of course what is more fun than the food afterwards!!! Yummy Nummy!!! Plus it was cooked by Drake Students stupendously good! The rest of the night was of course filled with empty chit chat and being international students *cheng cheng cheng* picture taking and here are some of the pics of the night!!! Enjoy.....

My lil' family!!!

True to words you always have yourself a family wherever you go! I have my own real family consisting of my mum, dad, sister, myself and the dogs! Then I have my church family...awesome people who have changed my life immensely, my host family, who have graciously let me become part of the family over the past 3 years, then I have my own little family made up of these guys...who started of just as acquaintances some because of the sleeping patterns we had and other because of the similarities in interests! These guys have grown to be people who know you in and out, the ones you turn to in times of need for comfort and solace. And the people that you are most comfortable with to be yourself and have fun!!

How interesting life is!

So recently i've been thinking about what I want! Something that I may have wanted for a while now but never really seeking it out due to certain reasons... But now that its so near and so close at hand I really don't know what I want anymore! And for some reason its driving me nuts from the inside out just because I have no flipping idea what to do or want anymore. It is so easy for me to personally want something so bad then when its right there in arms length criticize it and draw away or at the same time draw away and want much from something that I don't even know i want!Owh I am a such a cancerian! IDEAS???

Where has all the common sense gone to?

I cannot for my life figure out where the common sense in this world has gone. Young'uns nowadays do not own even a teaspoon of common sense, and do the most unlogical things you could ever think of. How can such school smart kids not be so unlogical in so many ways.... it beats the heck out of me....you spend all this time and money on studying but when it comes to general knowledge and common sense they don't own an ounce of it!!! AMAZING I would say! How are these kids going to survive the real world? Let alone grow up and make families?
